Mookie Betts, David Price Trade Being Held Up: Reports
The Red Sox, who has received intense backlash from fans, are queasy about the medicals of one of the prospects they would get in return.

The trade that would send Red Sox star Mookie Betts and David Price to the Los Angeles Dodgers has still not been completed as there is reportedly a problem with the medical review of one of the players set to come to Boston.
ESPN's Jeff Passan, who broke the blockbuster trade agreement Tuesday night, said all sides are confident the deal will still be completed. But for now, Betts and Price remain with Boston after the Red Sox balked at the health of pitching prospect Brusdar Graterol, who at 21 has already had Tommy John surgery and a shoulder injury.
The holdup is reportedly not related to the immense criticism the Red Sox have faced in trading one of the game's best players due to salary concerns. The talent return for a 27-year-old former MVP and a Cy Young winner has been criticized as underwhelming.

"The likelihood of the trade of Betts to the Dodgers blowing up altogether, sources said, is slim, as medical-related impasses are typically worked around," Passan said.
Things could get awkward if the teams can't agree to a solution soon, however. Boston's pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training Feb. 14, and the team will likely want to hire a manager without the issue lingering.
