No Name Restaurant Closes After 102 Years

The South Boston landmark along the waterfront opened in 1917.

BOSTON — The No Name Restaurant announced it will close after more than a century in South Boston. The restaurant, which opened in 1917, has been a go-to for generations along the waterfront.

No closing date was announced, but it appears the closing is effective immediately.

"After over 100 years, we had to make the difficult decision to close the No Name Restaurant," the restaurant said in a Facebook post. "We want to thank our generations of customers for all the years of loyal patronage, and for helping make the No Name a landmark location."
