Numerous Flights Cancelled in Boston as Hurricane Matthew Bears Down on Florida

Despite beautiful Boston weather, at least 20 flights from Logan International Airport (BOS) were cancelled as of early Thursday afternoon.

BOSTON, MA — Hurricane Matthew's current trajectory is predicted to miss Boston, but it's still racking up a whole host of complications for travelers trying to pass through our airport, from those flying with JetBlue to American Airlines.

As of 2:30 p.m., FlightAware reports 20 trips have been cancelled from Logan International Airport to a host of southern destinations: Charleston, Savannah, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville and Palm Beach. Impacted airlines so far include Jet Blue, Spirit and American Airlines, according to the flight-tracking site.

Logan Airport has recommended that anyone traveling south Thursday or Friday check with their airline to confirm their flight status.

According to FOX 25, some of the final flights to leave South Florida before the storm strikes just touched down at Logan.
