One Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Columbia Road

Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of the crash that they say left a man dead.

BOSTON — Investigation is underway for an early-morning motorcycle crash in Dorchester, police say.

A preliminary investigation revealed the driver went off the roadway while attempting a turn and struck a tree. Police say the crash happened around 3 a.m. on Columbia Road.

The male driver was pronounced dead after being transported to Tufts Medical Center.

The road was blocked off for a while but has since reopened.
