Only Nonstop Flight Between Boston And Honolulu Cancelled
The flight takes more than 11 hours.
BOSTON, MA — It just became more difficult for Bostonians to travel to and from Hawaii.
Hawaiian Airlines has announced that it will suspend nonstop service between Logan International Airport and Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The airline will operate its last flight from Boston to Honolulu on November 19.
Hawaiian Airlines said Boston is one of its "underperforming routes", along with Incheon, South Korea and Fukuoka, Japan. Right now, the airline operates four flights per week between Boston and Honolulu.

The flight path, which began in 2019, is over 5 thousand miles and takes more than 11 hours to complete.
Now that travelers will not be able to fly directly between Boston and Honolulu, the airline said there are options to connect using Alaska Airlines, which is its partner.

Guests can connect on flights in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and San Diego using Alaska Airlines. Those impacted travelers will be placed on other flights or receive a refund, according to the airline.
“It’s always a difficult decision to suspend a route, especially in cities like Seoul, which we have enjoyed serving for over 14 years," said Hawaiian Airlines CEO Joe Sprague.
