Patch Poll: What Do You Think of BPS' 6-Year High School Idea?
The Boston Public Schools superintendent has floated the idea. What do you think?

BOSTON, MA — With enrollment down in Boston Public Schools' middle grades, one proposed response is axing middle schools altogether, lumping K6 into elementary and starting high school at 7th grade.
The Boston Globe reported the idea this week, first floated this summer by Boston Superintendent Tommy Chang.
According to the paper, "The shift could result in reshuffling thousands of seats in the seventh and eighth grades. Chang said the new configurations could boost the quality of education for seventh- and eighth-graders by concentrating support services in fewer schools."
