Police Action Causes Orange Line Delays
Orange Line riders complained of severe delays.

Orange Line riders are complaining of severe delays and heavy police presence Thursday morning, as the Mass. Bay Transit Authority announces "police action" is causing a holdup.
NECN reports an MBTA spokesman confirms a "suspicious package" found at Wellington station is the cause. Multiple riders report via social media that an unattended bag is the apparent source of the heavy police activity. An MBTA Transit Police spokesman tells Patch no suspicious package has been found, and service has resumed as normal.
According to the MBTA's text alert program, as of 9:02 p.m., "Orange Line (is) experiencing minor delays due to a police action."
