Police Identify Man Wanted In Connection With North End Robberies

Boston police are looking for the man who they say robbed multiple Hanover Street banks last month.

BOSTON — Boston police have identified a man wanted in connection with multiple North End bank robberies in one day last month.

At this time, Boston police have a warrant out for Rolando Gala, 39, of Boston, on charges of unarmed bank robbery.

Police say a Santander bank was first reported to have been robbed at 9:10 a.m. at 287 Hanover Street.

Then at 9:14 a.m., they received word that a Citizens bank had been robbed at 315 Hanover Street.

Shortly after, the suspect was said to have attempted to rob the Century Bank at 275 Hanover St. but was unsuccessful.

All three banks closed for a short time after the incidents.
