Police Search For Driver In South Boston Hit-And-Run

A 60-year-old woman remains hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck in the crosswalk Monday morning.

SOUTH BOSTON, MA — Authorities are looking for the driver of a vehicle in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a 60-year-old woman crossing the street Monday morning.

State Police said the victim was crossing Day Boulevard near K Street in a crosswalk around 7:17 a.m. when she was struck by a car driving toward L Street. The car turned left on L Street and an immediate right on Columbia Road.

The victim remains hospitalized.

The vehicle is believed to be a mid- to late-2000s Lincoln Town Car, possibly silver or light beige, with dark tint on its rear passenger windows and rear window, but no tint on the front windows. It took damage on the the front driver's side and the side mirror was broken off.
