50K Without Power Amid Powerful Storm

The hardest-hit areas are southeast of Boston.

More than 50,000 power customers across Massachusetts are in the dark as a powerful rainstorm brought with it heavy winds.

The majority of outages as are in southeastern Massachusetts.

The strongest winds are expected to last through 11 p.m. and blow along the coast and in the southeastern part of the state. An 81-mile-per-hour wing gust was recorded at the Blue Hills Observatory in Milton.

Outages should continue late into Monday night. The storm will persist into the overnight hours. Patch will update this story throughout the evening.

  • Franklin: 4,392 outages (32 percent)
  • Somerset: 4,305 outages (55 percent)
  • Rockland: 3,348 outages (43 percent)
  • Fall River: 2,616 outages (6 percent)
  • Gloucester: 2,837 outages (17 percent)
  • Westborough: 2,018 outages (23 percent)
  • Bridgewater: 2,002 outages (19 percent)
