Red Line Service Resumes After Derailment At Broadway Station
Investigators are still looking into what caused a Red Line train to derail near Broadway Station Tuesday morning.

BOSTON — Red Line commuters had quite the headache Tuesday when the second car of a southbound Red Line train derailed, making contact with the edge of the Broadway Station platform Tuesday morning.
Shuttle bus service replaced Red Line trains between JFK/UMass and Park Street stations.
At 9:45 a.m., the second car of a southbound Red Line train derailed at a slow rate of speed at Broadway Station, making contact with the edge of the platform, says the MBTA.

All 47 passengers were able to safely exit the train with no injuries, says MBTA spokesperson Joe Pestaruo.
The cause of the derailment is currently under investigation.
