Red Sox Being Investigated In Cheating Scandal: Report
Manager Alex Cora is now at the center of two major alleged sign-stealing scandals, this one connected to the 2018 World Series team.

It's Spygate, but for the Red Sox. The MLB is reportedly looking into allegations Boston illegally stole signs in the video replay room during the 2018 World Series title season.
The Athletic, which first broke the story, cites three players from the team that season in its reporting.
At the center of the allegations is manager Alex Cora, who reportedly had a "key role" in a sign-stealing scandal from the year before with Houston, where he was the bench coach. The Astros also won the World Series that year.

The MLB is still investigating those allegations.
The Red Sox would reportedly go to the video replay room to find out what the opposing pitcher was throwing. That information would be relayed to a baserunner, who would tell the hitter.

Sign stealing itself isn't illegal, but using video equipment to do so is.
The Red Sox told the Athletic they are aware of the allegations "suggesting the inappropriate use of our video replay room" and will cooperate with MLB's investigation.
