Red Sox Minor Leaguer Tests Positive For Coronavirus

A Red Sox minor leaguer has tested positive for the new coronavirus, the team announced Tuesday evening. The player, who the team did not identify, is "doing well."

The player's positive test came back Monday, eight days after he was last at Fenway South's Player Development Complex in Fort Myers, Fla. The team believes he contracted the illness after leaving.

The team is still shutting down the complex for two weeks. Fenway South and JetBlue Park will undergo a deep cleaning.
