Revere Beach Closed After 3 Shot; Sporadic Fights On Sunday: Reports

Two 17-year-olds, as well as a 51-year-old woman, were injured in two separate shootings at the beach, NBC 10 Boston reported.

REVERE, MA — Two shootings — injuring two 17-year-olds and an adult — within an hour of each other, as well as some unrelated fights, prompted police to close down Revere Beach on Sunday night, according to reports.

A 17-year-old girl was shot when gunfire erupted during a fight near Centennial Avenue just after 7 p.m., police told NBC 10 Boston.

She was struck by a bullet in her lower body, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, and then taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where she remains hospitalized, the outlet reported.

A 51-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were injured in a second shooting at around 8 p.m., according to the outlet.

State police told ABC 5 that troopers were called in "to assist in restoring order."

State troopers and Revere police are investigating whether the two shootings are connected, Mass Live reported.

Police have not been made any arrests in connection with the shootings.
