Southie Car Crash Sends One To Hospital

Emergency crews say witnesses who saw the crash immediately rushed to the driver's rescue.

BOSTON, MA — Emergency crews responded to a car crash in South Boston Sunday night.

Police, firefighters, and Boston EMS arrived in the area of 380 West Broadway around 8:30 p.m. after receiving a call of a crash.

Witnesses say a person was trapped in one of the vehicles, and multiple good Samaritans ran to help, pulling at all the doors and attempting to bash windows in.

A third car involved fled the scene immediately, only to be pulled over by Boston police in the intersection of West Broadway and Dorchester Street.

Witnesses say the person was finally removed from the silver car and immediately transported to a Boston hospital.
