Stop & Shop and NE Baptist Hospital Provide 500 Thanksgiving Turkeys & Sides to Mission Hill Families
The food distribution is part of Stop & Shop's Holiday Campaign to donate over 6,000 turkeys across the Greater Boston Area

Stop & Shop, together with New England Baptist Hospital doctors, nurses, and healthcare providers and New England Patriots Tight End Austin Hooper assembled 500 bags with frozen Thanksgiving turkeys and holiday sides to distribute to Mission Hill families as well as residents at Roxbury Tenants of Harvard and One Gurney Street Apartments. The food distribution is part of Stop & Shop’s holiday campaign to donate over 6,000 turkeys across the greater Boston area.
According to The Greater Boston Food Bank’s most recent statewide study, food insecurity remains high in Massachusetts with 1 in 3 individuals reporting running out of food or not having enough money to buy food each month.
“All year long, Stop & Shop works closely with local organizations to fight hunger in the communities we serve. Our Turkey Express program continues to be a vital part of this mission, especially during a time when many families are struggling to make ends meet,” said Thomas Ferreira, Regional Vice President, Stop & Shop. “Our goal is to ease some of this stress and provide families with Thanksgiving meals they can truly enjoy.
