BOSTON — A Boston federal court this week sentenced a Louisiana teacher to more than 11 years in prison with texting and enticing a local 11-year-old girl by sending her pornographic images.
U.S. District Court Judge Denise Casper sentenced Logan Procell, 25, to 135 months in prison and five years of supervised release. In February, he pleaded guilty to one count of coercion and enticement of a minor and one count of transfer of obscene material to a minor. Procell was indicted in October 2017 and has been in custody since.
The teacher first contacted the Greater Boston-area girl via Snapchat after seeing her on a different social media app. He got her phone number and started texting her. The girl's mom discovered approximately one month’s worth of their communications in September 2017.
