Ted Williams Tunnel Lanes Closing Overnight
Certain lanes will be closed Monday, Tuesday night.
BOSTON, MA - Heads up, drivers, there will be a full closure of the Ted Williams Tunnel westbound Monday and Tuesday.
According to MassDOT, the westbound lanes will closed September 26, at 11:59 p.m., for required maintenance work. The Ted Williams Tunnel westbound is scheduled to reopen the next morning, September 27, no later than 5 a.m.
The Ted Williams Tunnel westbound will close again Wednesday, September 28, at 11:59 p.m., and reopen no later than 5:00 a.m., on Thursday, September 29.

Travelers wishing to go west will be detoured through the Sumner Tunnel, up to surface roads in North End, to the I-93 southbound ramp at New Chardon Street where they will be directed to take Exit 20B in the southbound tunnel to continue onto I-90 westbound.
