Thunder, Showers Accompanying Cold Front Today
This afternoon's warm temperatures will take a quick turn as a cold front brings rain and rumbles of thunder. Here's when to expect it.
A cold front will break through Thursday's warm temperatures, bringing with it showers and thunder. Temperatures are expected to be in the 70s and 80s today, but things will change quickly in the mid-afternoon.
"An approaching cold front will trigger brief scattered showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms with gusty winds between 3 and 8 PM" across Southern New England, the National Weather Service said.
The rain should begin subsiding by the late evening. Friday morning is expected to be sunny.
