Top Of The Hub, Skywalk Closing Atop Prudential Center: Report

The popular venues are closing April 18, according to The Boston Globe.

BOSTON — The Top of the Hub restaurant and the Skywalk Observatory atop the Prudential Center are set to close in months. Both venues are set to end their historic runs April 18.

Owner John Quagliata said Boston Properties declined to extend its lease with the long-popular destinations, according to reports. The closures will result in more than 200 layoffs.

The Top of the Hub has long been a fancy destination for wanting to celebrate high above the city — 52 floors high, to be precise. The restaurant is two floors above the Skywalk. Both are known for incredible views of the city, and neither are what you'd call cheap.
