BOSTON — Two teenagers were arrested at a popular South Boston beach on Sunday, police said.

Two male minors, ages 15 and 17, were arrested at Carson Beach, but because they were minors, police could not provide information on their names or the charges brought against them.

According to Caught in Southie, police were called to Carson Beach around 8:40 p.m. after receiving word of a person with a gun. From there, they say a crowd circled around police and became aggressive toward them. Just after 9 p.m., they reported that the officers called for backup after members of the crowd began jumping on police cruisers and vandalizing them.
