U.S. Rep Ayanna Pressley Tested For Coronavirus After Symptoms

The congresswoman is the second member of the Massachusetts congressional delegation to go public with a possible bout with COVID-19.

BOSTON — U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley has been tested for the coronavirus after experiencing flu-like symptoms, a spokesperson said. The Boston Democrat is awaiting test results.

"After experiencing flu-like symptoms, Congresswoman Pressley sought professional medical treatment out of an abundance of caution," Lina Francis said.

Pressley is known outside of Massachusetts in part for being in the freshman group of progressive congresswomen dubbed "the squad."
