Uber Driver Raped Woman In Boston: Police

Massachusetts State Police said Daudah Mayanja, an Uber driver from Waltham, raped a woman on Storrow Drive near the Hatch Shell.

BOSTON, MA — An Uber driver from Waltham was arrested Saturday and charged with two counts of rape after police received a report of a sexual assault on Storrow Drive near the Hatch Shell in Boston, according to Massachusetts State Police. The assault was reported around 1:15 a.m. The Uber driver was identified by police as Daudah Mayanja, 37, of Waltham.

Authorities have collected potential evidence for a forensic analysis, police said.

The woman who reported the assault was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Mayanja was held on $25,000 bail pending an arraignment on Monday, police said.
