BOSTON, MA — A United Airlines plane has been grounded after catching on fire at Boston Logan International Airport Tuesday morning, officials said.

Mechanical issues caused a fire to break out in the tail end of the 737 aircraft while it was parked at an airport gate, a United Airlines spokesperson said, as reported by 7 News.

No passengers were on board and no injuries were reported, according to NBC Boston. Fire crews from the Massachusetts Port Authority "responded immediately and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze," the tv station said.
