Every adult in Massachusetts will know Wednesday when they're eligible to be vaccinated, Gov. Charlie Baker said in a tweet Tuesday night.

"Tomorrow morning, our administration will release the schedule for all remaining groups in MA’s vaccine plan. Every resident will know when they are eligible for a vaccine," Baker tweeted shortly before 6 p.m. "Thank you for making MA a national leader in the vaccination effort!"

Baker's announcement comes less than a week after President Biden challenged every state to make everyone eligible for the vaccine by May. Massachusetts had initially prioritized the most vulnerable residents and some professions like first responders and front-line health care workers, getting off to a rocky start but getting many seniors inoculated.

The Baker administration's initial vaccine rollout plan has become increasingly jumbled as time goes on. The plan is currently in the second of its three phases, recently opening it up to people with 65 and older and with certain medical conditions.

Teachers became eligible just last week, another change that came after pressure from the White House.

The state last week started letting people preregister for vaccinations.

Baker has said the state can vaccinate far more people than it is right now, but needs more supply from the federal government. Massachusetts expects to receive 170,000 doses of the vaccine this week, a small bump from the 155,000 Massachusetts it had been receiving.
