Vice Presidential Motorcade Causes Red Line Delay, Traffic Holdups
Thanks, Biden.

BOSTON, MA — The Red Line is experiencing delays, and the vice president of the United States is to blame.
That's per the Mass. Bay Transportation Authority, which said around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday that VP Joe Biden's motorcade was causing the holdup. It's since gotten back on its regular schedule, according to MBTA.
Biden is in town to speak on his "cancer moonshot" project at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute. It's temporarily bringing parts of the city to a standstill.

In addition to delaying the Red Line, there will be traffic blocked roads and delays on the campus of nearby UMass Boston.
According to the school, "On two separate occasions, no one will be allowed to enter or leave the campus for approximately 20 minutes each time, to allow the vice president's motorcade to arrive and depart the area. The first period will likely be between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m., and the second period will likely be between 5 to 6 p.m. The exact timing of these periods will be determined by the Secret Service."

We'd suggest bumping those times back by an hour, as Biden is reportedly running an hour behind schedule.
