Frank Oglesby, Jr., the "voice of the T," is taking the next train out of town, but hopes his recorded, automated announcements will continue after his retirement.
That's according to Boston Magazine, which interviewed the man rarely seen, but always heard as trains arrive and depart at MBTA stations around Boston.
Oglesby, 54, has been with the transit hub for more than 20 years, and will retire in July.

Keep your ears out, though. Oglesby said he hopes to do more vocal work in the future, like voice-overs in ad spots or narrating books on tape. He may also try his hand at theater.
