Voices of Hope steps into a world of Pure Imagination!
MYTH, MAGIC & MYSTERY – Where the Impossible Becomes Possible!

This fall step into a world where dreams take flight, masks are lifted, and the extraordinary is just a heartbeat away. Voices of Hope invites you to their highly anticipated annual fall gala, MYTH, MAGIC & MYSTERY, an evening brimming with spellbinding performances, heart-stirring stories, and dazzling surprises — all to benefit the Mass General Cancer Center.
From the moment the theatre lights come up, you’ll be transported into “Pure Imagination”, where mythical heroes, magical illusions, and mysterious encounters fill the stage. You’ll waltz through the shimmering grandeur of “Masquerade”, peek behind the “Facade” of appearances, and discover that “Everybody’s Gotta Be Somewhere” — sometimes in the most unexpected of places.
Be amazed as the cast conjures theatrical magic with “Abracadabra”, transforms underdogs into legends in “Zero to Hero”, and ventures “Deep in the Darkest Night” in search of hope’s flicker. This is a journey toward “Happily Ever After”, all while “Dancing Through Life” and “Defying Gravity” in the face of challenges.Expect the sparkle of “Razzle Dazzle”, the determination to “Go the Distance”, the yearning in “Wait for Me”, and the goosebump-inducing chills of “Superstition”. Feel the thrill as the performers declare “I Put a Spell on You”, inspiring the audience to “Come Alive” with courage and compassion.
Adding to the excitement, the Gala will feature Broadway power couple Matt DeAngelis and Christine Dwyer. Both hailing from Boston’s North Shore and married in 2018, Matt and Christine have more than 3,000 performances between them on Broadway and Broadway national tours. Matt has appeared in Hair, Rent, Waitress, and Broadway’s recent debut production, Swept Away. Christine has flown across the U.S. in more than 1,000 performances as Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked and has also appeared in Rent and Waitress. Earlier this summer, both starred as leads in North Shore Music Theatre’s production of Waitress, where they learned of our mission to make cancer history, and their own personal connection to cancer and related philanthropy inspired them to participate in Voices of Hope’s production of Myth, Magic & Mystery.
