Soak up the sunshine while you can Friday and Saturday, because this weekend's kind of a mixed bag.

This weekend's weather starts out nice enough, but keep an eye on the sky come Saturday evening.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday's sunny skies will persist through part of Saturday. That evening, a low-pressure front is expected to pass through New England, bringing rain on Sunday.

Friday afternoon: Sunny, with highs in the mid-70s, northwest winds about 5 miles per hour
Friday night: Mostly clear, lows in mid-50s, southwest winds about the same speed

Saturday daytime: Mostly sunny in the morning, but turning cloudy, while highs stay in the mid-70s and southwest winds increase as high as 10 miles per hour
Saturday night: Winds switch to the northeast and gust up to 20 miles per hour after midnight, as clouds close in and temperatures dip to the mid-50s
Sunday daytime: Mostly cloudy, with a 50 percent chance of rain and much cooler temperatures hovering in the low 50s, while a northeast wind persists and brings gusts of up to 35 miles per hour
Sunday night into Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a 30 percent chance of showers, as temps contine in the lower 50, highs possibly hit the 60s and gusty northeastern winds continue
