This Weekend, Ride in the Ghostbusters Car, Courtesy Lyft

Boston, MA - Ever wanted to tool around in the Ghostbusters' Ecto-1? If you're a full-blooded American, the answer is yes.

This weekend in Boston, you'll get the opportunity to not only ride in the iconic station wagon, but do it for free, thanks to a "ghost mode" promotion from mobile ride-hailing service Lyft. It's part of the run-up to the lady-led Ghostbusters reboot, out July 15.

Slightly confusing cross-promotion? Sure. But who can argue with a) a free ride and b) the peak of Ghostbusters nerd-dom?

"Ghost Mode" rides are available Friday and Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Boston is one of five cities where the promotion will be offered. Other locations are Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
