Here's Where Wildlife Smoke In MA Will Be Worst On Tuesday
Unlike smoke that covered Massachusetts in recent weeks, Tuesday's smoke will be closer to ground level, according to forecasts.

BOSTON, MA — Wildfire smoke will cover eastern Massachusetts Tuesday, according to forecasts, and may be closer to the surface than recent smoke coverage.
The smoke will be only about 25 feet from the surface in a wide area from Boston south to Cape Cod. Lower amounts of smoke will still be seen west of Framingham, according to the National Weather Service.
"While dry weather will prevail, low level smoke from fires in Nova Scotia will overspread the region today from the east, potential impacting visibility and filtering the sunshine," the weather service said in a forecast Tuesday morning.

The smoke is from wildfires burning in Nova Scotia. The Canadian province is experiencing high heat and favorable fire conditions, and more than 25,000 acres were on fire as of Monday. About 16,000 residents near the fires have had to evacuate.
Wildfire smoke from fires burning in Alberta hazed skies over Massachusetts before Memorial Day. But that smoke was located very high in the atmosphere.

The smoke should clear out of the region by Tuesday evening, according to forecasts, but will remain in lower amounts through Wednesday.
