Woman Injured After Ceiling Collapses Inside Dorchester Apartment

A woman was taken to the hospital after the roof of a triple-decker on Dorchester Avenue gave way.

DORCHESTER, MA — A woman was injured after the ceiling gave way inside a Boston neighborhood apartment Friday morning.

Emergency teams responded to the scene at 1593 Dorchester Ave. just before 7:30 a.m. to find the woman was suffering from what Boston police called non-life-threatening injuries.

She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and is expected to be okay, Boston police said.

According to WHDH, the woman is 25-years-old and pregnant.
