Woman Killed In Mattapan Shooting Overnight; Police Investigating
The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. Tuesday. The woman died at a local hospital and a man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
BOSTON, MA — A woman has died and a man was injured in an overnight shooting in the area of 106 Deering Road in Mattapan late Tuesday night, police said.
At around 11 p.m. Tuesday, officers responding to a call for a person shot found an adult female suffering from "apparent gunshot wounds," Boston police said. She was taken to a local hospital, where she died.
An adult male was also injured in the shooting. Police said he suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and transported himself to a local hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made yet, Mari Salazar of 7 News tweeted.
The Boston Police Department is currently investigating the incident and is asking anyone with information about it to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.

"The Boston Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identities of all those who wish to assist this investigation in an anonymous manner," police said.
