Woman Killed In South Boston Fire
The early morning fire also displaced three residents, fire offiicials said.

BOSTON, MA — A woman was killed in a fire in South Boston early Saturday morning, fire officials say.
The Boston Fire Department responded to 380 E 8th Street around 5 a.m. for a building fire. The fire was on the first floor of a two story multi-family dwelling and was contained to the first floor.
An adult woman transported by EMS succumbed to her injuries, the fire department said.

No other injuries were reported but three residents were displaced and damage is esimated at abour $200,000.
Boston fire and police and the Suffolk County DA's office will investigate the fatality. The office of the chief medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
