Wrong Way Driver Killed In Boston Crash

Massachusetts State Police are investigating a wrong-way crash on I-93 near Columbia Road in Boston that left the driver dead.

BOSTON — One person was killed after Massachusetts State Police say they were driving the wrong way in Boston early Saturday morning.

The driver of an SUV was traveling southbound on the northbound side of Interstate 93 near Columbia Road Saturday around 2:30 a.m. when it struck two drivers going the right way northbound, Massachusetts State Police say.

Police say the SUV driver struck a third vehicle before eventually coming to a stop.

The three drivers were taken to Boston Medical Center, and police say they suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
