Young Boy Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash In Dorchester

Boston police are searching for the driver who they say hit a child on Columbia Road in Dorchester.

DORCHESTER, MA — A boy was struck and injured in a hit and run crash on Columbia Road in Dorchester Wednesday morning, Boston police said.

Police responded to the intersection of Columbia Road and Intervale Street around 7:24 a.m.

Once crews arrived, they say they found a boy believed to be under the age of 10, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Sgt. Det. John Boyle says the boy was taken to a local hospital, but the car took off immediately after the incident and was last seen on Geneva Avenue towards Vaughan Avenue.

Police have released photos of the car they say is wanted in connection to the hit-and-run.
