4 Hospitalized After Head-On Collision In Braintree

The crash closed Washington Street near Arbutus Avenue for about an hour.

BRAINTREE, MA — Four people were injured in a head-on collision in Braintree Sunday morning, according to police.

Police said the crash happened around 4 a.m. on Washington Street near Arbutus Avenue. Officers found two vehicles with extensive damage.

Four people were taken to local hospital for their injuries. Police said the injuries were not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made, but a police spokesperson said charges remain a possibility. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and pole are still determining if speed was a factor.

Police said the crash scene was closed for about an hour while police investigated the crash.
