Braintree Kindergarten Registration Open For 2023-2024 School Year

BRAINTREE, MA — Kindergarten is a huge step in the life of a child and, in Braintree, parents can begin registering their kids for class now.

Braintree Public Schools recently opened kindergarten registration, which can be done online here. The registration portal will be open until Jan. 20, officials said.

Any family registering after Jan. 20 will be placed on a waitlist as officials begin to evaluate the number of families requesting half-day and full-day programming.

To be eligible, all students entering kindergarten must be five years of age by Aug. 31 of the year of enrollment.

Notification will be made to all families of their child’s placement in either a full or half-day program by Feb. 28.

The full-day kindergarten program has a fee of $3,715.00/per year per student. When registration is confirmed for a full-day placement for the 2023-2024 school year, a deposit of $500.00 is required to hold your child’s seat, officials said.

A payment schedule will be sent to all families at that time.

For families who may be eligible for reduced tuition, there is a reduced tuition rate of $1,858.00 per year, per student and a reduced deposit amount of $250.00 is required to hold your child’s seat, officials said.

In order to qualify for reduced tuition, parents or guardians must complete a Free and Reduced Tuition Application.
