Braintree Sets 2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration Schedule

News release from Braintree Public Schools.

The Braintree Public Schools are pleased to share the following information regarding kindergarten registration for all Braintree families who have a child eligible to attend kindergarten in September 2024!

Registration for all eligible Braintree Kindergarten students (students must be 5 years old by August 31st and must reside in the Town of Braintree) will be done online at
https://braintreeschools.org/families/registration/kindergarten

The registration portal will open on Family Connection Wednesday, January 3, 2024 and will run through Friday, January 19, 2024. All eligible families will need to log onto the registration portal during that time period to register.

Any family registering after January 19th will be placed on a waitlist as we will begin to evaluate the number of families requesting half-day and full-day programming. Notification of placement in the kindergarten program will be made via email to all families by February 29, 2024. At this time, we anticipate all full-day and half-day kindergarten classes will be held in the “Old” South Middle School (located at 232 Peach Street), which is scheduled to become a district-wide early childhood center beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.

Supporting Documents

During the week of January 29, 2024 - February 2, 2024, the administrative assistant at your home/district elementary school will be available to accept any supporting documents that were unable to be uploaded during the online registration. Please note, as this takes place during school hours, we request that only one parent/guardian plan to drop off their outstanding paperwork.

The full-day kindergarten program has a fee of $3,789.00/year per student. For those families who may be eligible for reduced tuition, there is a reduced tuition rate of $1,895.00/year per student. Eligibility guidelines for reduced tuition can be found in the online registration materials.
