Braintree Snow Emergency Parking Ban Announced Ahead Of Winter Storm
The 24-hour parking ban goes into effect at 5 p.m. on Sunday, town officials said.
BRAINTREE, MA — A winter storm could bring up to 10 inches of snow in Massachusetts today, prompting Braintree officials to declare a snow emergency parking ban.
The parking ban begins at 5 p.m. on Sunday and stretches until 5 p.m. Monday, town officials said.
Braintree provides off-street parking locations during parking bans, which include Smith Beach, Sunset Lake Braintree Municipal Golf Course and Watson Park parking lots.

Monday's Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday means that schools and town offices are already scheduled to be closed and curbside trash and recycling is already delayed one day.
The National Weather Service projects between 4 to 8 inches of snow locally, with a winter storm warning in effect.
