Braintree Student Charged After Bringing Airsoft Gun To School
The student faces four charges after the school was forced to shelter-in-place.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree student was reported to be in possession of a handgun on Monday morning, police said.
A shelter in place at Braintree High School was activated and the student was detained, but it was eventually determined the student was in possession of a "realistic-looking" airsoft gun.
The student is charged with carrying a dangerous weapon on school grounds, minor in possession of an airsoft gun, resisting arrest and assault with a dangerous weapon.

"It also underscores the value of trust and communication between those students, staff, and School Resource Officers in maintaining a safe and secure school environment."
