Braintree Women's Club Day of Service

Fighting Hunger and Food Insecurity

In an effort to combat food insecurity and hunger, the Braintree Women’s Club volunteered to provide 35 brown bag lunches for Fr Bill’s and Mainspring in Quincy. Our members provided all items needed to make lunches of sandwiches, snacks, fruit and dessert that will be distributed to the homeless in the greater South Shore area. Pictured are those who gathered to assemble and make delivery.

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. The National Day of Service (NDS) is a day in which all of GFWC comes together in service to highlight an area of need, take action to address it, and raise public awareness about its importance.
