Braintree Hosts Relay For Life Saturday

The road race supports the American Cancer Society's efforts to support patients and eradicate cancer.

BRAINTREE, MA - Relay for Life, a road race to benefit the American Cancer Society, is being held this Saturday, from 2-9 p.m. at the Norfolk County Sherriff’s Department located at 2015 Washington St.

The event will include group lawn games, live entertainment and a luminaria video slide show.

"Relay for Life is a great event where we recognize those in our community who have survived cancer, honor and remember our loved ones who have passed from cancer and provide support for those who continue to battle cancer today," said Braintree Mayor Charles Kokoros in a statement Friday. "We will continue to fight to find a cure for cancer."

Additionally, on Sunday June 12, the Braintree Firefighters Association will be holding their Annual Firefighters’ Sunday Remembrance. The remembrance ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Braintree Fire Department headquarters located at 1 Union Pl.
