Detours Scheduled For Elm Street, Adams Street Paving In Braintree

News release from Braintree Police Department.

BRAINTREE, MA — Paving will be taking place on SATURDAY June 8th from 6 AM to 4 PM on Elm Street and Adams Street. Be aware that there will be multiple detours in the area and we ask residents to avoid the area if possible during this time.

Detours that will be in effect are below and shown in the attached figured. All times are subject to change based on progress of the work.

Through traffic will not be allowed on Adams Street from 6AM to 10AM and detoured onto Elm Street and Commercial Street.

Westbound traffic on Elm Street will be detoured onto Old Elm Street to Hawthorn Road from 8 AM to NOON.

Access to Elm Street via Middle Street will not be allowed from 8AM to NOON.

Westbound traffic on Elm Street will be detoured onto Hawthorn Road from NOON to 4PM.

Eastbound traffic on Elm Street will be detoured onto Washington Street from NOON to 4PM.

The Contractor, Town of Braintree Engineering staff and Police Details will be on site during these times to assist residents access their homes and businesses in these areas.
