Election 2024: Braintree Voter Guide

BRAINTREE, MA — Voters in Braintree will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5, for the 2024 general election.

It's a big year for voters, who will decide between former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as races for the House of Representatives, Senate and a number of statewide races.

The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 26. You can check your voting status on the Secretary of State's website, where you can also find your polling place.

Registration deadlines

• In-person at local election office: Oct 26 by 5 p.m.
• Online: Oct 26 by 11:59 p.m.
• By mail (postmarked by): Oct 26

Mail and absentee deadlines

• Request ballot (received by): Oct 29 by 5 p.m.
• Return ballot by mail (postmarked by): Nov 5
• Return ballot in person: Nov 5 by 8 p.m.

Voting deadlines

• Early voting: Oct 19 - Nov 1
• In-person: Nov 5

Polls in Massachusetts are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can also use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place.

Early Voting

Early voting begins on Oct. 19 and continues through Nov. 1 in Braintree and across the state. Braintree Town Hall will host local early voting with hours varying depending on the day of the week.
