Here's Where You Can't Park Or Drive During Braintree Day
Braintree Day is scheduled for Saturday, marking the 50th edition of the event. Police have released traffic alterations for the day.

BRAINTREE, MA — The 50th edition of Braintree Day is scheduled for Saturday, and local police have released the traffic alterations for the day.
This year's festivities are scheduled for July 1 and the Braintree 4th of July Celebration Committee is planning a jam-packed day.
The celebration kicks off with the parade at 11:45 a.m. which takes off from the Registry of Motor Vehicles on Plain Street.

Vehicle travel on Washington Street from Plain Street to Hollis School will be closed shortly after 11 a.m. and until 2 p.m. There will also be no on-street parking, police said.
Officers will be posted at traffic posts along the parade route to assist motorist travel.

There also will be no parking on Braintree High School Access Road all day Saturday, police noted.
The parade is followed up by the annual festival starting at 4 p.m. at Braintree High School. A number of food vendors have been confirmed, as well as other activities including a petting zoo and makers market.
A concert is scheduled for the high school from 7 to 9 p.m. Live music will be performed by Ryan Faraday and Boat House Row.
Fireworks are to follow the concert starting at 9 p.m.
