Shuttle Buses Replace Some Red Line Trains: What It Means In Braintree
Track work scheduled between Harvard and Broadway stops could mean shuttle buses for some riders and free fares for others.

BRAINTREE, MA — Shuttle buses will replace some train service on the Red Line this week as MBTA officials perform track work.
The MBTA said the buses will replace normal service between Harvard and Broadway stops through Nov. 24. Shuttles won't directly service Park Street or Downtown stops, officials said.
What this means for Braintree is that trains will be fare-free between Braintree and South Station, and also between Porter Square and North Station. Service beyond Braintree and Porter Square will be a regular fare price, officials said.
