Train Service Resumes After Flooding Near Braintree
The MBTA needed to resort to shuttle buses on Wednesday as flooding near Braintree halted train service during the morning commute.

BRAINTREE, MA — While Tuesday night's storm didn't bring snow like the one earlier is this, it certainly caused problems locally.
That was especially true for those who rely on the MBTA to get to work, as flooding near the Braintree Red Line station stopped train service. Officials resorted to shuttle buses between the Quincy and Braintree stations to move people.
However, the MBTA has since updated that train service has resumed, though after a few hours of shuttle service during the morning commuting hours. Southbound delays were up to 20 minutes while officials tried to clear the problem, the MBTA said.
