85 Year Old Dies In 3-Car Crash In Brookline
The fatal crash in Chestnut Hill sent nine to the hospital, including three children, police said.

BROOKLINE, MA — Police are investigating a deadly three- car crash in Chestnut Hill that sent nine people to hospitals Sunday, including three young children.
Officials identified 85-year-old Judith Spencer, of West Roxbury, as the woman who died in the crash.
Police said a 65-year-old man driving a car north on Hammond Street veered into oncoming traffic and hit two other cars just before 2 p.m. He was listed as in stable condition at Beth Israel Hospital as of Sunday night.

The first car that he hit had two children in it, including an 8 year old and a 10 year old, along with three adults. The driver was a woman from Brookline, police said. All five were treated and released at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Children's Hospital.
The second car that was hit had three people in it; including another Brookline driver. The driver's 10-year-old daughter was also in the car along with the driver's 85-year-old mother. All three were taken to Beth Israel Hospital. The 85-year-old, identified as Spencer was a resident of the Sophia Snow House in West Roxbury. She was pronounced dead shortly after she got to the hospital, according to police. It's not immediately clear how the driver or the 10-year-old are doing.
