BROOKLINE, MA — A Boston police sergeant has been accused of drunk driving and crashing into another vehicle on the Veterans of Foreign Wars Parkway while he was off-duty, according to a report from NBC 10 Boston.
Mark McKeown was reportedly vulgar with both police and the person whose car he collided with. According to Brookline police, McKeown smelled of alcohol, and told officers he had five drinks at a Bruins game. He also referenced his own status as a member of law enforcement asking them “Do you understand who I am?”
He was arrested on the charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence and has been placed on administrative “desk duty” at his job.
